Note, people might think that StarCraft II is less realistic or more inclined to the 'cartoon'ish side, but let me remind you that the graphics and designs are still under Alpha phase. Maybe early Beta stage, but it is still not finalized. What you see is not what you are going to play... xD

Farewell to my favourite American Idol contestant - Allison Iraheta. Why, oh why, oh why must she be eliminated. I thought that she would pull through to the finals, making it an A vs A final. If you ask me, though my favourite is Allison, Adam will win it if it were to be an A vs A finale. Since Allison is gone, I can guarantee you that Adam will have no problem winning it now that there is less competiton for him.
Okay, enough about Adam and more on Allison. Now that she is out, America, you just lost an Idol who has the sexiest and sweetest voice among the others. Hey, she adds substance and style to songs that she sang in American Idol 8. There is always something unique about it when she sings. One of the things that attracts me the most about her is her sweet and lovely personality. Even during her audition, she was sweet and cute to the judges. The best part in the competition about her was when she performed 'I Don't Want to Miss a Thing', a song by Aerosmith. Now, the song 'I Don't Want to Miss a Thing' is known to be 'man'ly. But was she did was incredible, she sang it with her style, like a woman and more importantly, she made it hers.

It is something similar to what David Cook made 'Always Be My Baby' last year and made that song 'singable' for men. This time, because of Allison, women can be proud that that song, 'I Don't Want to Miss a Thing', can also be sung is a feminine way. I salute to you Allison. Whats amazing about her is she is just 17 years of age. You go girl!

Don't worry, she will be singing in the finals with the rest.

Allison... eventhough you are eliminated, you will always be a winner to me and you have win it already believe me.

Rome: Return of the Champions

Early this season, who would have thought that Manchester United could win the Champions League again (back2back) because of the lackluster start. Some suggested that Manchester United would be struggling in the latter stages. Well, whoever thought of all these was indeed dead wrong.
Second leg of the semi finals caps a thrilling 3-1 victory at the Emirates stadium by Manchester United, making the aggregate 4-1 with Arsenal. Excellent performances I must say by the trio of Ronaldo, Rooney and Park Ji-Sung.

YEAH!!! We are going to Rome baby!!!

I got to admit, Arsenal plays lovely attacking football, but, when you judge the players in Arsenal's squad as a whole, they seriously don't look like Champions League material. Why? Look at their defense (main weakness) . The only 'world class' player they have is Gallas and their keeper Almunia was like a 'pasar malam' goalie when they signed him (if you know how his transfer to Arsenal was like). Need I say more? So, expect decimation/onslaught/annihilation/whatever on Arsenal's back four.
And now the final stage on the Colosseum is set. Manchester United, now have returned to the finals of the UEFA Champions League aiming a greater goal than last year. Can they be the first back-to-back Champions of the new mellinium? Whatever it is, Manchester United have returned, stronger and wiser, and this time coming to Rome as defending Champions of Europe and Champions of the World.
Chelsea or Barcelona, BRING IT ON!!!

This is a tribute to Matt Giraud. It was sad that he got eliminated in Top 5 week. I won't say he is the best singer and I did not expected him to win though, but his voice is versatile and this is the best song that he had sang in American Idol 8 which is 'You Found Me' originally by The Fray.

I gotta admit, Matt Giraud version is way better than The Fray's. More substance and more feeling but it did not impress the judges during his performance.

Macheda - A New Hero

With Rooney suspended, Berbatov injured for attack, Fergie had a headache to rely on out-of-favour Carlos Tevez and young strikers Danny Welbeck and Federico Macheda up front. Attacking problems in one thing, another is their defense. Nemanja Vidic continues his suspension and I don't what happened to Rio Ferdinand (injured I suppose). So, defence is screwed agaisnt Aston Villa.

No Ferdenand-Vidic, No Problem? Hell No, it is a problem! United conceded 2 HEADER goals courtesy of John Carew and Gabriel Agbonlahor (what a shame for this relatively short guy to scored agaisnt Man U) after leading with a Ronaldo goal. Aston Villa could have won the game but Cristiano Ronaldo struck the equaliser netting into the bottom right post.

Just when you thought that Aston Villa would share the points with Man Utd, haha, you thought worng. Debut substitute Federico Macheda fooled the defender, turned backed and shot a curling ball into the right top corner on the 93rd minute of extra time. Remember the name, Federico Macheda! Ooo, the "you thought wrong" part sounds like the Beyonce song 'If I Were A Boy'.

In Sepang, its Jesson Button emergered as 2009 Sepang Champion and now on top of the driver's standings. What a form he is having. What happened to Kimi, Lewis and Alonso? Will there be more surprises up for gear in the upcoming Formula One Race. Only one way to find out, stay tuned...

What a sort of a miserable week for me. My trials are on and it is suppose to be important, but hey, it's only trials, for now. The bad part about my week is having a cold + fever... during TRIAL EXAMINATIONS. Well, I know that my trial examinations are screwed! Worse, I'm screwed!!! However, not that I'm complaining, because, according to my religion, it is a way of Allah forgiving my sins. So, I just gotta sabar kerana ini merupakan satu cabaran dan dugaan.

All I can do is go to college in the morning and sit for my examinations, then go back home and sleep the whole day. Zzzz and zero revisions. Haha. Well, not to say that I study last minute, but you can still do some last minute latihan to touch up your preparations. So, basically I just sleep and watch Asian Food Channel. Now I'm in the mood for cooking. Haha!

And Why Pakatan Are The Monkeys and Baboons of The Parliament

Yesterday's Parliament session showed us even more of what Pakatan really are. The highlight of the day was when DAP's Lim Kit Siang was suspended until 1pm (i think). This happened when he said that UMNO GILA KUASA. And later he told the people that he just said that "UMNO is power crazy" and he got suspended. You were told to take back your remark and move on, but no, you had to be so stubborn and yes, that is what you get, a suspension. You see Lim, are you tone deaf or can't you differentiate intonations? When you speak in Malay, the meaning is deeper and more striking. Crazy is not as bad as saying gila. Bear in mind that if you translate words literally to another language, it does not mean that the degree, substance and implicit meaning is 100% same when you compare the two words. Ok, if you don't get it, it's like saying "Oh Shit" (which is quite moderate nowadays) rather than saying "OH TAHI" or "You Crazy Damn Pig" rather than "KAU GILA BABI SIAL" Comprendes?

And later on, (as usual) Pakatan Rakyat people resort to being crybabies when they claim that how come Hishamuddin Hussein becomes a hero by what they said that he implied that Anwar Ibrahim is 'gila kuasa' in his UMNO General Assembly speech. Are you guys blind or what? Obviously this is a rhetoric statement. Of course to UMNO he is a 'hero'. Same goes to Pakatan as Lim is the 'hero' for DAP or Anwar for Keadilan for whatever negative and inflaming remarks against BN.

You tak faham ke? Hishamuddin tengah buat ucapan. It is two different situations. He is not debating or bukan dalam sesi perbahasan like you in the Parliament. It's the same for Pakatan too when they have their ceremonies or perhimpunan harams. I'm sure when Pakatan says UMNO semua bodoh, Najib this and that, the audience will acknowledge the speaker as the 'hero'. In an argument with somebody who has different ideologies/point of views, you don't provoke or attack the person's background that will divert away from the topic of the argument. Do Pakatan people need "How to Argue for Dummies"? Well, BN people too have the same problem but this is going out of the boundaries we are talking about. I dunno, Pakatan claim that BN people are stupid and uneducated, but sometimes I feel that they are worse. Example, the tree of democracy issue. Are they sure they are fighting for democracy, or its a fight for stupidity! Anyway Lim, you should have taken your words back. In Parliamentary discussions, you are bound and expected to follow the rules and regulations because that is to show your respect to the integrity of the Parliament.

Same does to Gobind Singh last week. I feel he was lucky to just get a one year suspension. Come on, calling Najib a PEMBUNUH. How dare you accuse him of this! That is very nonconstructive and inappropriate when you are debating in the Parliament. Even if you still insist on calling him a pembunuh, sure, be my guest, do it outside the Parliament, express your 'freedom'. But again, in the Parliament, you are not entitled to do that. And this shows how capable you guys are if you have 'freedom of speech'. You guys are not ready to have it because you guys will definitely abuse it. Freedom comes with responsibility such as not making slanderous remarks. That goes the same for BN.

If Pakatan Rakyat wants to legalize 'free speech' such as calling people pembunuhs in the Parliament, well, I'm certainly sure that Pakatan Rakyat won't like it if BN says "Hai Peliwat, Pergi Belahlah!" or "Get away from me or Go away you sodomiser!" to Anwar in the Parliament. Or worse, "Eh, semalam Anwar buat dengan siapa?"
I'm not accusing Anwar of anything and yes, I do disagree on this dirty false accusation against Anwar, but would Pakatan like it if Barisan would act like that in the Parliament? There are certain boundaries in the Parliament that you just have to follow.

Down & Down UMNO Youth Goes...

Ah yes, the UMNO General Assembly, which promises reform within UMNO and new leaders that will play an integral part for Barisan Nasional. And results for the UMNO Youth division proved to be a disapointment for me when Mukhriz did not win. Worse, he got dead last.
Guess who won for UMNO Youth president. I dare not mention.
Oh dear, it is none other than Khairy Jamaluddin.
Bitter disappointment, number one because he should not contest in the first place but no, he just got a 'warning'. I hope that the UMNO delegates know what they are doing when they voted for him. Just remember what he quoted last time and see how does it ring a bell...

Today marks an anniversary.

Wow, 1 year has passed since I enrolled the A Levels programme at Taylor's University College. Well, I was suppose to attend Orientation Day exactly last year on a Monday but in a unavoidable circumstance, I had to take my driving test at the expense of it. And... freakin' hell yeah I passed! And adding on to that, today is an anniversary since that day I passed my driving test, enduring the crazy JPJ officer for the road test. And yes, among my close friends, I was proudly to be the first to pass the driving test, ahead by 2-3 minutes... OH YEAH!!!!

Yes, a March 2008 'intaker' for Taylor's College I am. A sucker in a way. Should have joined the January 2008 or waited for the July 2008 intake for a 'relaxing' life. Packed schedule for 1st and 2nd semester for trying to catch up the Jan 08 people before AS Trials. 7 hours of classes except for Friday made us like robots and it is like as though we are the working class. Difference is that we pay to work literally. Note that this only applies to those who took Further Mathematics for the March 2008 intake and will happen to those new breed of March people. I'm warning you, wait for for July 2009! Haha!

The good part of being a March-ian is that if you do well for your finals, it shows that you are capable of working under pressure and manage your time wisely. This will be a good advantage when you go to university because the fact that you are always used to lack of time before, and in University you will get ample time. Yeah!

Oh great, tomorrow my A2 Trial Examination begins. Crap!!! Gotta run....

Economic Downturn Troubles?

In this uneasy period of economic crunch, we see many people taking measures to tackle this problem. People change their lifestyles, cut on costs, save money, avoid unnecessary spending, etc. Then, there comes the effect of it like robberies and burglars cases rising. Well, it happens in this period until it is over. Now then, let us see how Pakatan Rakyat deals with their activities in spite this difficult period.

Recently, the Perak saga continues as Aduns from Pakatan Rakyat now improvise by having the 'supposively State Assembly meeting' under a tree led by Sivakumar. Can't blame them because maybe it's a way to cut down on cash. I suppose they can't afford to book proper venues to organise their 'perhimpunan haram' nowadays. Apart from that, they cut down more expenses by not informing other Assemblymen. It is good considering the fact that the more people come, more food will be required, more water needed to flush their bladders and big business and more hal.

Ala, Barisan Nasional, janganlah marah Pakatan Rakyat, diorang cuma nak save duit. Kan ni cara yang bertamadun semasa krisis ekonomi. Betul tak?

Look at the bright side, it is free to book a meeting a tree. Who knows, maybe later HINDRAF gatherings will be held under a rock. Anything is possible in Bolehland. Malaysia Boleh!

AS THE REDS GO MARCHING ON, ON, ON!!!!!

Now, that is spectacular football after witnessing Manchester United triumphing against the before-this-and-now-former reigning champions Tottenham Hotspurs. Even though Manchester United won the Carling Cup Finals on penalties, United won 4-1 on penalties. Bravo for Ben Foster!!! He is one for the future for United's goalie.

A fine display for Cristiano Ronaldo, missed a lot of golden chances, and got a yellow card for diving! Haha! Sadly, his Portuegese counterpart Nani was a lazy ass, lazy to chase the ball, and wasn't in the mood to play I think. Berbatov and Rooney did not feature by the way.

One funny incident I must point out was when Cristiano Ronaldo took a freekick and hit the Tottenham wall. His shot, a wicked blast hit Jamie O'Hara with an intense amount of velocity caused O'Hara in a state of agonizing pain!!! Refeeree called in a timeout and medics came for a while. O'Hara return later. Man, super shot by Ronaldo! Oh Ha Ha for O'Hara...

Well, its just the Carling Cup, there is still a long way to go.

Jebat's Legacy Lives On...

All this political hullabaloo in Perak makes me reminisce my childhood days, particularly when my parents told me cerita-cerita Melayu. Sang Kancil, Hang Tuah, Pak Belalang, Bawang Putih Bawang Merah, etc. Yes, I grew up with all of them.

Now, lets take a step back, forget about politics for a moment, and revisit one of many tales of Laksamana Hang Tuah, a legendary Malay warrior during the Zaman Kesultanan Melayu Melaka in the 15th century. He had 4 close friends who always fought beside him - Hang Jebat, Hang Kasturi, Hang Lekir and Hang Lekiu.

One memorable chapter is the confrontation between Hang Tuah and Hang Jebat.

Note, there are different variations of this story, so I'll go with mine based on what I've known about it and due to different date variations, I'll give an unspecific time line.

Prior to the battle, Hang Tuah was falsely accused of adultery with one of the ladies in the Sultan's palace by Patih Kerma Wijaya. The Sultan owns her I suppose and without any form of examination, baginda made quick conclusions and sentenced Hang Tuah to death for treason. Treason huh? Interesting...

Hang Jebat succeeded Hang Tuah's role and and was given the Taming Sari (a sacred keris formerly used by Hang Tuah) by the Sultan.

STOP. Before I proceed, we have to know the story behind the Taming Sari.

In short, some time ago, the Javanese kingdom of Majapahit challenged anyone to a duel to the death against their unbeaten warrior, Taming Sari. Hang Tuah was up for the challenge. Both fought endlessly but Taming Sari appeared to be a flawless warrior until a point where Hang Tuah realised that Taming Sari's strength came from his keris. Hand Tuah persuasively convinced Taming Sari to switch keris with him. With the keris at the hands of Hang Tuah, inevitably Hang Tuah emerged victorious. The keris was awarded to Hang Tuah by the Majapahit kingdom and named the keris 'Taming Sari' named after it's former bearer. It is believed that the keris possesses magical powers to make someone invincible. Maybe in melee combats, not sure about getting shot in the head.

Continuing the story...

Believing that Hang Tuah's death was unjust, he turned against the Sultan to avenge his fallen comrade. With the keris at the hands of Hang Jebat, he became invincible and captured the Sultan's palace and convinced the Sultan's concubines to stay in the palace with him. Why? Lets just leave that out for now. The Sultan was forced to retreated away from his palace. However, Hang Jebat was unaware of the Taming Sari's powers.

Attempts made by the Sultan to recapture the palace ended in vain. Anyone who stood up agaisnt Hang Jebat is like taking a 100% one way ticket to death. Royal Guard, Warriors, you name it, they fell to Jebat's Taming Sari.

But secretly, thanks to Bendahara of Melaka disobeying the Sultan, Hang Tuah was actually alive in a remote place in Melaka. Knowing this, the Sultan regretted sentencing Hang Tuah to death, and summoned Hang Tuah to kill Hang Jebat. Hang Tuah was given a royal pardon by the way.

On one Friday afternoon, after the Muslim's Friday prayers, Hang Tuah marched alone towards the royal palace and confronted Hang Jebat. The battle began, one fighting another. Hang Tuah knew that Jebat, equipped with the Taming Sari, was unbeatable. Hang Tuah attempted to trick hang Jebat into swapping weapons (just like what he did to the fallen warrior Taming Sari) and in his attempt, he learned that the Sultan's concubines are all dead. Hang Jebat drank, screw and had pleasures with them and killed all of them in the end. Ah, a bloodthirsty Jebat I must say. In the end, Hand Tuah managed to reclaim the Taming Sari and stabbed the mortal Hang Jebat, and defeating his friend Hang Jebat.

Jebat, stabbed and wounded, escaped from the scene and ran rampaging and terrorising the city, killing thousands of people. In his dying moments, he came to Tuah's home and dies in Tuah's arms. His notable quote was "Raja alim raja disembah, raja zalim raja disambah" meaning a fair king, a king to obey, a cruel king, a king to fight agaisnt. Literally. Hang Jebat's last wishes it to take care of Hang Jebat's unborn child and named it Hang Kadim if born as a son, and if a daughter, it's up to the mother. Months later, a lady gave birth to Hang Jebat's son but the Sultan ordered Hang Tuah to throw the baby into the sea. Instead, Hang Tuah entrusted Hang Kadim to the Bendahara to take care of him. The End.

Are Jebat's derhaka actions justifiable? Or is Hang Tuah killing Hang Jebat (his childhood friend) justifiable? We can see that Hang Tuah is a man who symbolises loyalty to the throne while Hang Jebat is a man who symbolises fair and justice. Jebat fought in the name of Hang Tuah's assumed death. More importantly, Jebat felt that Tuah is like a brother to him. Is it loyalty or fairness that you follow, that is up to you.

Jebat may have died physically, but his soul lives on and can never die. Interestingly, Jebat has now migrated to Perak, rocking the royal city. Perak? Maybe to avoid anymore confrontations with Tuah's soul in Melaka.

Giggs gave Fergie food for thought as he avoided a torpedo sliding tackle from Cole and dribbled pass through a West Ham defender, surging and terrorising the West Ham defense and finally, a curly low right footed shot beats Robert Green. Winning goal for Ryan Giggs! Hooray for Giggs who finally recaptured his deadly flamboyant form.

A fine and decisive link-up play between Manchester United veterans, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs. With that, Manchester United reclaimed top spot again. Yeah, get lost you Liverpool Merseyside Punks!

Tribute to Ryan Giggs for what he has done for United through out his whole career. Ryan Giggs is and will always be my favourite Manchester United player.

DERHAKA... literally means defy. But when it comes to defying the Sultan, whoa, DERHAKA can be a very big issue and it is punishable by death (well, olden times, haha) because it shows that you disrespect, disobey, could not care less, betray and mock the integrity of the Sultan. And betraying the Sultan means you betray your kingdom! Thou shall be damned!

As we can see, in Perak, we have a bunch of rakyats yang DERHAKA kepada Sultan. Yes, drama and controversy surrounds the state of Perak for now and oh boy, what a good publicity. But, yes, supposed to be former MB Perak, Mohd Nizar Jamaluddin, this morning, assumed office as MB alongside his fellow PR EXCO members despite the Sultan ordered him to step down as MB and declared Perak a Barisan Nasional State. This form of defiance is an act of treason to the people lead by yours truly Anwar Ibrahim. Oh wait. in this scenario, the DERHAKA leader should be between Anwar and Nizar, I can't really tell because it seems that both of them are hogging the spotlight, so could you help me out here.

Aright, lets get to the point.

The way I see it, Pakatan Rakyat are willing to defy the Sultan in their bid to secure Perak. In this case, if you can defy your Sultan, surely, and why not, it would not be a problem to defy the people.

Actually, of course they can, "DERHAKA kepada Sultan dan hidup Ketuanan Pakatan Rakyat!"

It was a no mercy demolition at the Hawthorns that marked Manchester United's biggest away win of the season with 5 goals in total coming from Berbatov, Tevez, Vidic and a Ronaldo double. Yes, United 5, WBA 0. A scintillating performance I must say. With this 11th consecutive clean sheet, as expected, United broke the record of most consecutive clean sheets in the EPL. Glad to see defender Rio Ferdinand back again in the United rearguard. Also, this victory gave United 3 points clear off Liverpool at pole position. Well, its just WBA, so don't get too comfortable because Everton will be visiting Old Trafford next. But because of the 0-5 score sheet...

Aaa, Saturday nights, hang out with friends and watch some football at any mamak shop decided spontaneously prior to the match. But before the match, there is always something to do and this time, Nazrin brought me to play Left 4 Dead and I made new friends with Nazrin's friends, Hafiz and Ikram. Curses, I was Left 4 Dead again in the game. Thanks a lot Nazrin. Haha.

After a great time playing Left 4 Dead, guess what awaits us next, an FA Cup clash between Manchester United and Tottenham. We know Syafiq Afiq would be up for this, so I took the liberty to pick him up.

A promising match, seeing Berbatov facing his former club and Harry Redknapp who beat Fergie's men with Portsmouth last season aiming to beat Fergie's men with a much improved Tottenham Hotspurs. For United's case, it was yet again unorthodox defensive pair, this time skipper Gary Neville partners Nemanja Vidic to hold up the Spur's attacking front. Though Neville can play as a centre-half but not an effective player in that position I must say. 5 minutes after kick off saw a defensive error by the defensive pair (as expected) when Pavlyuchenko, unmarked, headed the ball into the United net, scoring the opening goal. By the way, Ben Foster was the goalie for the match.

After that moment, it was United that dictated the match, giving Spurs and giving no room to attack. Spurs' resilient defending came to an end when a typical Paul Scholes spectacular long effort equalised the 0-1 deficit in the 34th minute. Moments later, 37th minute, who stole the show? Yes, it was Dimitar Berbatov's classy performance, defeating the offside trap and scoring yet another winning goal for the Devils making a 2-1 scoreline. Looks like Redkanapp could not repeat last year's feat of FA Cup glory. Credit should be given to the United's defence - Ben Foster, Fabio, Vidic, Neville and O'Shea for their good communication and were well disciplined despite their early avoidable blunder. Speedy recovery I bid for Ferdinand, Evans, Brown and Evra. Can't wait to see them in action.

Note, a proud moment for me late in the game, not because of Manchester United, but Tottenham when they fielded in Adel Taraabt. Hooray, Adel! Hahaha. Damn...

Astounding I was after reading yesterday's NST article (page 6, bottom left corner) on the Herald defying the Malaysian government. A controversial issue so to speak. Check it out.

PUTRAJAYA: The Home Ministry may take legal action against the Catholic weekly, Herald, over its continued use of the word "Allah" in this week's issue.

Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar warned that the show of defiance could cause conflict and anger among other races in the country.

"We should abide by the law and the government's decision. The decision to ban the use of the word 'Allah' in its publication does not come from the ministry but from the cabinet.

"If anything happens, then don't put the blame on us. I will refer this matter to our legal unit."

The weekly's editor, Father Lawrence Andrew, was quoted by AFP as saying on Tuesday that he intended to continue doing so until the court rules on the issue next month.
"We find this restriction on the use of 'Allah' unacceptable when we have been using it as a translation for the word 'God' for centuries in Malaysia," he was quoted as saying.

The government last month ordered a ban on the Herald's Malay edition until the court makes its decision, as part of conditions for it to be allowed to continue publishing in English, Chinese and Tamil.

Andrew had also said Munshi Abdullah, the father of modern Malay literature, translated the Bible into Malay in 1852 and he also translated the word "God" as "Allah".

Its interesting to see how the Herald is very determined to use the word 'Allah' in their Malay publications to an extent its now being dragged into court. Is there really something in between the lines? What do you think my Muslim brothers and sisters? The matter is abstract, so don't narrow your minds. Well, whatever happens within our nation is still within Malaysian Jurisdiction. Hopefully the government can resolve this issue without any religious tensions.

Congratulations to PAS candidate Mohd Abdul Wahid Endut for triumphing the by-election. When the media claimed that its going to be a close encounter, 50-50, thinking that it was going to be a repeat of the 12th General Elections last year by a 628 majority, yeah right, look at the results, 2,631 majority. Here is my foot to the media for your biased twisting and turnings.

Well, if PR were in control of the media, who knows they might do the same as well. Can't trust the media for political issues.

As for the people of Terengganu, I suppose you guys want change. A change in the government? Your choice. Hopefully the PAS candidate that you guys voted can do a great job of delivering the goods and give the changes that you want.

United, Levelling The Records...

17th January evening (UK time), Reebok Stadium, Manchester United faced Bolton, an unpredictable Premier League team known for their capability of making upsets against the big boys. Injuries plagued Ferguson's trip to the Reebok with Rooney, Brown, Ferdinand, Evra, etc all at the sidelines. This predicament gave another opportunity to Carlos Tevez to lead the United battlefront alongside Berbatov. A promising pair.

As the Bolton fans anticipate and anxious to hear the final whistle by the referee, hoping for a draw, Dimitar Berbatov silenced the Bolton crowd with a last-gasp 90th minute header following a Tevez cross. That header proved to be the vital winning goal for United in the match and now Fergie's men are on in pole position of the EPL. Hooray!!!! Hopefully Liverpool lose tonight, haha!!! Well, credit to the Bolton goalie Jaaskelainen for denying United a goal fest.

Despite the absence of key centre-half Rio Ferdinand at the heart of the United defense, young Northern Ireland international Jonny Evans gave a calm and important performance to cover the Englishman's absence. He is, I believe, a hot prospect for United and one for the future. Hopefully Fergie does not sell him. His consistent partnership with Vidic proved to be vital as United secured their tenth consecutive clean sheets. More importantly, equaling Chelsea's record set during the 2004/05 campaign Next match, Manchester United is going to break that record.

Lectures with a Difference

Good job Taylor's Modal United Nations Club for all their efforts of bringing Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad to give a talk on 'Global Peace' at Taylor's this morning. Yes, he came to Taylor's, yeah! An unforgettable college moment I must say. Although I am a Taymun member, but due to some avoidable circumstances, I was unable to help you guys out, but I wish i could. And you guys deserve the credit for making this happen.

There I was this morning, formally dressed up, borrowing my dad's tie and his cool blazer, looking forward to see Mahathir live in action. I think I look good in blazers and it makes me look powerful like some pump-ass rich businessman, haha. Anyway, attending his talk would mean that I have to skip (I mean unable to attend) two precious classes which is Chemistry and Further Maths. Sorry Mrs. Yap and Mr. Peter. I know how important your classes are and I know my classmates couldn't agree more. I suppose sacrifices have to be made and Mahathir's lecture on 'Global Peace' eventually proved to be worth awhile. Tun giving out his speech about this particular topic couldn't have a better time looking at what is happening at the Arabian lands. What Tun emphasised a lot was about making war a global crime and how America is not fighting for what they stand for in the United Nations. There were also times when Tun cracked some funny jokes.

Why war should be an international crime? Killing one man is a committed murder. What about killing 10000+ men, helpless women and children. Now, isn't that mass murdering? In modern war, not just soldiers die, but innocent civilians die as well because last time it was usually a battle between the armies. Basically, he justified that modern war is and will always be unjustified. Apart from that, slavery last time was a common practice, and now is an unaccepted and an uncivilised practice. Why can't we make the same for war. It may take about perhaps 100 or 1000 years to change the people's mindset, but the start of that must begin now.

Then, Tun gave out his views about the Gaza situation and hit out about how merciless and inhumane the Israelis were. Despite the European Jews who suffered terribly the Holocaust during World War 2, how different are they considering they fact that they are cruelly massacring innocent Palestinians? Even with pin-point accurate missiles, the Israeli military still launch attacks on innocent civilians and even a UN truck that was aiding the wounded.

Now the United States. They are big nation that is suppose to be the peace keepers of the world. They stand for peace and are aces in resolving wars in the United Nations. After the end of the Cold War, the world looks up to America to lead the front lines of the United Nation's Security Council. Yet, in several attempt by the United Nations to resolve the Palestine-Israel conflict, the United States have used their veto power to cancel the resolutions. Contradictory isn't it? This is what happens when the police becomes the criminal. In reality, its the United States who are strongly backing the Israeli's aggressive invasion against the Palestine. Because of their one American veto power, any resolution passed in the United Nations will be automatically canceled. Tun suggested that an amendment in the voting system should be made, that is at least two or three veto powers in order to cancel a resolution instead of a single veto. Well, thats what he said.

Then, the question-answer session. There was an irrelevant question was asked by one of the spectators. Shame on you the questioner but was amusing though. It goes something like this if i can recall.
He asked, "Can an independent party member be a Prime Minister in Malaysia?"
Tun's reply was, "Can, the constitution states that as long as that person can get the majority support from the Parliament. Now, if that independent person can get supports from BN, Pakatan, wow. Sure, Chinese, Indian, Eskimo can be Prime Minister... But not in my time."
Oh Tun Dr. Mahathir, love your sense of humour. I must say my thanks to Tun for giving his remarkable speech at Taylor's and it was an honour to be there just now. Lastly, thank you Tun Dr. Mahathir for all that you have done for our country.

Malaysia & Singapore Part 1

Aloha, I just got back from visiting my relatives in Singapore. Went there with around almost 30 of my family members. Whoa, big trip and first time that that many people came together.

Along the trip I've noticed some wonderful things about Malaysia. Forget about the issue of integrating the education system for a while and lets look at the wonderful job that the Malaysian Customs had done. Note, before I entered Singapore, I saw a Malaysian Customs officer playing a PSP. Lol... hahaha!

Singaporean Customs

As I crossed into Singaporean soil, first stop - Immigration Check at the Singaporean Customs. They were strict as always. I put my luggage into the big scanner while the officers were analysing the luggages with their computers. Then, pass through the metal detector. Finished.

Malaysian Customs

It was my last day in Singapore, and when I entered Malaysian land, it was time for the Kastam Diraja Malaysia to do their thing. Thanks to technology, now we need not to queue up for the identification part because you can simply put your passport onto the identification machine and place your thumb to match your finger prints. Its like in the airport, cool.

After that, it was the inspection and interesting part. Sadly to say and not surprised, year after year of going to Singapore, our customs are still the same. The land customs at Johor to be precise, just that part, the ones at the airports are good i suppose. For now, I'm just focusing the radar at the Johor Customs. As I was saying, when we put our luggages into the big scanner, one officer was inspecting our luggages with the computer. At the same time, he will in an instant look at us for a while and then resume looking at the computer. I mean, at times, no officer was looking at the computer. Besides that, there was no metal detector that we have to go through. All we had to do was put our bags into the scanner (which people are not inspecting at time) and that is just it. Wonderful job ain't it, as I mentioned earlier.

I suppose Malaysians assume that Singapore is a highly secured country that there is no possible chance of smuggling drugs or whatsoever into Malaysia from Singapore. That could be the reason our officers are not making an effort to find illegal items from people coming into Malaysia. Whatever the reason is, this is and always had been an ideal opportunity for the Singaporean Intelligence to infiltrate behind our lines. Well, you can even carry a bomb and remain undetected if thats the case.

Well I may be wrong. Who knows, maybe there are highly trained analyst in a room in some obscured place constantly looking into our luggages. Or there are elite snipers on guard and securing the perimeter, watching us and waiting for the call. Maybe to catch the bad guys, we make them look as though we are lazy and catch them when they are off their guard. Haha, a bit too far fetched perhaps.

Hari Raya Aidiladha

Hari Raya Haji or Aidiladha is upon us. Let us take a moment to commemorate the history of Nabi Ibrahim and his son Nabi Ismail.

From generations to generations, parents tell their children about Nabi Ibrahim's memorable tale. If not parents, we Muslims hear it from ustads and ustazahs in school, during Agama periods that is. Well, behind it there is always a lesson to be learned.

Back then during Nabi Ibrahim's time, he had a revelation from Allah, that Allah instructed Nabi Ibrahim to sacrifice his own son. Riddled he was, but, to no avail he did not questioned Allah's judgment and was willing to do so. As Nabi Ibrahim was about to sacrifice his son, Allah intervene and ceased the ritual. A lamb was provided instead to be sacrificed. Yes, it was all actually a test of faith, loyalty and obedience by Allah. Well, it shows us how different we, normal human beings, are compared to him. Yeay, just finished Chemistry Paper 2. What a relief! Only 4 more papers to go, and 2 more weeks of exam period. Zzzz. Hah, anyway... Does this line seem familiar?

"Have you ever had oysters? Did you know oysters are an aphrodisiac."

Oh yes, its a line smoothly said by Latrell Spencer from the movie White Chicks. And yes, oysters are indeed an aphrodisiac. Anything that is known as an aphrodisiac exhibit properties that can, well, increase a person's sexual desire. Interesting isn't it.

The Birth Of Cambridge's 'AS' & 'A2'...

Initially it was just A Levels : all out one shot in the end like STPM. Now they had divided it into the AS (Advanced Subsidiary) part and A2 part, making it 50:50 that accumulates for the final A Levels. But the question is, why is it AS and A2? How come its not A1 and A2? Why 'S' before '2'? What kind of arithmetic sequence is this? Well, you know Cambridge, they are full of surprises.

Well, in the Malay Language, AS could simply be an abbreviation for 'Ala Senang' meaning 'Owh, Easy'. Who knows, maybe they got influenced by this street language while Tanah Malaya was under the British rule.

Anyway, back to the drawing board when Cambridge wanted to reform their previous A Levels, they were having trouble naming the 'new' format. They were also bragging on how much the world 'loves' their A Levels and so one of them drew the shape of a heart and underlined it on the white board. Another gave a thought and it hit him "When you vertically split equally the shape of an underlined heart, you get sort of like an upside-down 5 and the number 2." (Try drawing a heart and underline it, then split it vertically at the center and you''ll see.)

Another person , questioned "So whats up with 5 and 2, going to name it A5 and A2?"

"No ya git, A5 and A2 appears weird, since an upside down 5 looks like the letter 'S', why not name it AS and A2?"

And thats how AS and A2 got their names, simply from splitting the shape of a heart. Shows that Love Does Conquer All!!!

Once upon a time....

Wan Siu loon got 2 sons and 2 doter, his children like every other teens they gave themself an English name

1.The 1st son call himself Sarm
2.The second son call himself Noe
3. The 1st Doter call herself Annie
4. The second doter call herself Avery

One day while Wan Siu Loon & wife is outta the country Noe got into an accident, Noe 's frends managed to call Sam to inform him about it and Sarm is trying frantically to contact Annie and tell her about it. Annie college's do not allow their students to bring handphone to skool thus Sarm gotta call the college principle's office to get him to ask Annie to come to the phone. the prinsipe name is Mr. Soh lee

This is the conversation :

Sarm : Hello Mr. Principle, can i speak to Annie Wan please?

Soh Lee : Yes You could speak to me, what izzit about ?

Sarm : No! I dont wanna speak to you! I wanna speak to Annie Wan

Soh Lee : Yalah You are talking to someone lah now!

Sarm : NO! I am Sarm Wan and urgently need to talk to Annie Wan !!!

Soh Lee : I know u are someone and u want to talk to anyone! But whats this urgent matter
about?

Sarm : Well just tell my sister Annie Wan that our brother, Noe Wan got into an accident.
Noe Wan got injured and now Noe Wan is being sent to the hospital. Right now Avery Wan is going to the hospital to take care of him the only one who doesnt know about this is Annie Wan!

Soh Lee : Look if no one was injured and no one was sent to the hospital from the accident that
isnt an urgent matter! You may find this hilarious but i dont have time for this!!!

Sarm : Nabeh! Why you so rude one!!! Who are lu ?

Soh Lee : I am Soh Lee

Sarm : Nabeh you should be sorry, your mother no teach you dont so rude one ka ? Now gimme your name!

AS Final Exams

well, its gonna be a 'stressful' month for my college mates and I because of our finals. Started on the 15th October and its going to drag on until the 21st of Novermber (for science students) . The busy period means less postings (sob sob sob). Though its until the 21st, good thing is that every week its an average of 2 papers. Yes, papers not subjects. At least its better than SPM : 10+ papers per week (&^*@#^@!!*&) . Ahahaha!!!!

First Post - 2 Kinds of History Repeating

Lately, in the midst of Ramadan, theres a lot of buzz going across the country about the so called transition of power as claimed by Mr. Anwar Ibrahim. Is it true? Delayed to to technical errors perhaps? I wonder too...

Well, I'm not being biased to political parties, I'm just relating to what happened in Islamic History to the "History in The Making of Malaysia".

1st case; Transition of Power

After the prophet's kewafatan, a dawn of new rule in the Islamic Kingdom, known as the Khulafa' Ar- Rashidin. During it's reign, the kingdom was lead by a Khalifah (caliph - similar like a Prime Minister). There were four great leaders before the fall of the Khulafa' Ar- Rashidin's reign, each with different policies during their reigns; Saidina Abu Bakar as-Sidiq, Saidina Umar ibni al-Khattab, Uthman bin Affan and Saidina Ali Abi Talib respectively.

Anyway, after the 4th Khalifah death, which was during the 5th's Khalifah's reign, the then Islamic Kingdom witnessed a transition of power to a new rule. It marked thestart of the Umayyad dynasty (Kerajaan Bani Umayyah). Henceforth, like what happened last time in Islamic history, after Tun Mahathir's reign ended (Alhamdulilah kewafatan wasn't the reason for the end of his charge) means the end of Malaysia's 4th Prime Minister's reign.

Could what is currently happening is Malaysia the same fate as what had happened previously in Islamic History. If Najib does become the 6th Prime Minister in Malaysia, it writes off the possibility of 'lightning striking twice'.

2nd case; Ramadan : The Month of Victory and Conquest

As recorded in Islamic History, in the month of Ramadan, Islam emerged victorious in many battles.

One, for example was the Great Battle of the Badr (Perang Badar) was won by the Muslims in the month of Ramadan.

Another example was the breaching of the Hudaibiyah Treaty (Perjanjian Hubaibiyah) when their enemies attacked an allied caravan of the Muslim. This happened in the month of Ramadan. In retaliation, Prophet Muhammad lead the Islamic Army's march and confronted the enemies at the city of Mecca. Surrounding them from four different positions, the Muslim's enemies eventually surrendered (no blood spill). This is also known as the Pembukaan Kota Mekkah as what we learned in Malaysian History.

Again, this was charted down in Islamic History as one of the greatest victory and was the beginning of the Muslim's firm stand across the Arabian Lands. By the way, this happened in the same year of that Ramadan month when the treaty was breached.

Since many great victories was written down in the month of Ramadan, if let say Pakatan Rakyat are the 'good guys' fighting for 'kebenaran', if they manage to turn the tables in the Parliament before Ramadan ends, it would be a 'great' victory for 'The Making of Malaysian History' as it occured in the month of Ramadan, similar to Islamic History.

Could History repeat istelf? Only time will tell....
